I love working with metal and when I discovered enamelling I was hooked.
To be able to work with ground glass and stick it to a metal object and put it in the kiln at temperatures of over 900 degrees is fascinating.
The red hot metal is removed from the kiln and as it slowly cools the colours come through – so exciting to see how the different elements fuse to give a wonderful variety of designs. No two items can ever be replicated. Each piece is its own individual work of art.
